I recently had the pleasure of working with Dr. Mike, a producer who specialises in heavy metal, to mix and master an... album. As an amateur with little experience in recording, mastering, and mixing, I was initially quite nervous. However, Dr. Mike’s kindness and patience made all the difference.

He took the time to explain every step of the process to me, and he never once complained about my sometimes poor recording techniques. Instead, he helped transform my music from amateur to professional quality. Thanks to his meticulous attention to detail and friendly attitude, my record now shines and sounds just like the greats.

Despite my pickiness and frequent requests for multiple revisions—often due to my own recording mistakes—Dr. Mike always responded with a positive attitude and a smile. His dedication and expertise have allowed me to release my record on streaming services with confidence.

We have worked with Mike on our debut EP. Mike was delivering solid mixes only a few days after sending him the stems... from the EP.

Every time we gave him notes, he delivered an alternative mix every single day after we had emailed him. Mike's punctuality and professionalism made the mixing process smooth as.

We contacted Mike after having some trouble mixing some tracks we'd previously recorded. The old mixes were a bit... inconsistent, and trying to do it ourselves just wasn't working out. We needed someone we knew was passionate about music, but who could listen to the songs with new ears... and who knew what they were doing.

Mike checked all of those boxes, and more. He listened closely when we described what we wanted our tracks to sound like, and was really receptive to feedback as we went back and forth trying to get the mixes just right. We heard back from him relatively quickly, and the whole process was really smooth. He was very professional and overall great to work with. Having now finished, our band has never sounded better on record, and we're extremely grateful.

Doctor Mike has done an absolutely amazing job at mixing our debut single. He has an insanely good ear for what... constitutes a well-put-together mix, and with a combination of his production prowess and a sprinkle of his own Dr Mike Metal Magic, he manages to really grab onto the strengths of the track and further accentuate them.

Doctor Mike has been beyond accommodating to our mix change requests (no matter how specific!), and it's been really easy to communicate effectively with him to get a final product that aligns with our collective vision and sounds great. He's excellent at what he does and an easy person to get along with, and that's definitely not lost on us.

We're extremely stoked with the result, and we can't wait to work with EOL Studios on our next release!read more

Doctor Mike was incredible to work with. He has an amazing ability to both stay true to the original vision of a song... and also see the potential for improvements. The first mix I got back barely needed any changes, everything was well balanced in what was a dense mix. Highly recommend EOL Studios and will definitely be back myself.read more
